If you’re looking for good Bar Harbor hotels, you’ll find there are plenty of places to stay, however if luxury is what you are looking for, than you’ll love the Balance Rock Inn. Of course there are less expensive places to stay, but if you want to splurge, the Balance Rock Inn, is certainly worth it.

Located along the coastline in Bar Harbor Maine, the Balance Rock Inn is just a few minutes walk to downtown Bar Harbor

When you first drive up to the Inn, you have the feeling that you are driving up to an enchanted storybook setting. It is quite breathtaking. With the ocean just a few steps away the whole atmosphere has an immediate calming effect on the body.

Indeed the outside of the Balance Rock Inn is quite beautiful, but the inside of it is quite charming as well. Each bedroom is designed in elegance and comfort. Many of the rooms have four-poster beds with fine linen, and each room just slightly different.

The ultimate accommodations at this Bar Harbor lodging, is their penthouse suite, which features deluxe accommodations in its four rooms. A king sized bed, fireplace, French doors, large screen television, a kitchen and living room, a loft with whirlpool tub, vaulted ceiling and a view that will have you wishing that you never had to leave. All this for a small fortune per night.

Of course we had never stayed in this room, but if money weren’t an issue, this would be my first pick, but it doesn’t really matter which room you stay in, whether a standard or an ocean front room or suite, this entire Inn is great.

Dining in this hotel is another special treat that will have your mouth watering when you arrive to eat and your tummy full when you are finished. Delicious? Absolutely?

I cannot say enough good things about how fabulous the Balance Rock Inn is. This Bar Harbor hotel has it all…it’s elegant, charming, romantic, with a gracious staff to ensure that you have a memorable visit.
