The Harborside Hotel in Bar Harbor, is the newest luxury hotel to the area. It’s located right in the heart of town, overlooking Frenchman Bay, and is thisclose to downtown Bar Harbor.

Almost all of the 187 rooms and suites at the Harborside are beautifully decorated with a semi-private balcony. I hear the deluxe rooms are even more superb with marble bathrooms.

They also offer studios and suites with up to three bedrooms. Some of these rooms have a larger kitchen, their own balconies, jacuzzis, dining rooms and a fireplace to enjoy on those romantic nights.

Dining at the Harborside will please even the most finicky eater. The La Bella Vita serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has the most wonderful Italian food! Just reading the menu made my mouth water, which made it very hard to pick just one.

The Italian wine bar offers the finest wines. It is a memorable dining experience where they strive to please their customers. Other dining areas in the hotel are equally above and beyond your expectations in satisfying a hungry appetite.

After eating all of those scrumptious meals you can head for the hotel's fitness room to burn off a few calories. A tennis court, game room and poolside bar are also there for the guest's enjoyment as well

The outdoors of the Harborside property is a wonderland! There is a large heated pool with a jacuzzi situated right on the brink of the ocean. There’s also laundry service, a pier and marina.

The prices are reasonably affordable for a luxury hotel. Prices in 2010 for the guest rooms and suites vary from $108 to $599. Additionally, there are specials and packages to choose from which include dining, romance, spa use, family vacations, whale watching and other adventure packages. You are sure to find one that is just right for you and your traveling companions.

The hotel is not too far from the Acadia National Park and other scenic wonders. You will definitely not be stuck for things to do here, as there are activities galore, such as kayaking, whale watching, lobster boat tours and more.

There's quite a selection of Bar Harbor lodging, but for the luxury accommodations, value and location, the Harborside Hotel had everything that will make your trip even more special.
