Spend a Weekend in York MaineOkay York Maine isn’t really a quick drive from Bar Harbor, but it is great Maine destination, and maybe a couple days on the beaches of York will do wonders for you. There’s plenty of shopping, and site seeing not only in York, but also in towns nearby, like Ogunquit and Wells. One of the things I like best about York, other than its beaches, is visiting Nubble Light house, maybe better known as Cape Neddick Lighthouse.
Any time we go to Maine, we always make a stop at Nubble Light, just to sit on the rocks and watch the waves crash around us, or take a nap on the grass. And of course we have to have ice cream, so we stop by Brown’s Ice Cream just a bit up the road. 
My favorite place to eat while in York is Wild Willy’s Burgers restaurant. They have the best burgers and fries around, and truth be told, we’ve actually taken the slightly more than the hour drive from our home, just because we’ve had a craving for one of their delicious burgers.
